The team
We met in June 2025 at the Hugging Face LeRobot Worldwide Hackathon in Seoul — Jong Hyun ran the Seoul site, Jiho competed in it. Both of us have been full-time on SudoCut since June 2026.

Built the first prototypes, and runs the channel they are tested on — an AI podcast channel of 1.5 years, 10K+ subscribers and over a million views. Started SudoCut in January 2026 after trying the AI editing tools on the market and finishing none of an episode with them.

Built products at several startups. Studied mathematics at HKUST, and now builds SudoCut full-time. Usually replies to work-related messages within 30 minutes.

There is art in editing. Our part of it isn't the art. We remove a chore so the creator's part can start sooner, and we don't confuse the two.

A cut that ships this week beats a perfect pipeline next year. We pick a direction, move, and let real footage correct us.

If the cut is wrong, we say it's wrong. Demos show real footage and real numbers, including the ones that don't flatter us.

Every cut SudoCut makes is a suggestion on a timeline the creator still owns. The moment the tool decides instead of proposing, we've built the wrong product.
We are two. Jinho Kim produces the YouTube channel and Jiyun Lee, a professional video creator, advises on editing — neither has written product code, and neither is listed here because that is their call to make, not ours.
